Tai Hing Roast was established by Mr. Ken Chan in 1989. Tai Hing has been transformed over the years from a small-scaled siu-mei (Chinese roast) fast food eatery located at Tai On Building, Sai Wan Ho into the largest Hong Kong-styled chain restaurant group in the city. The Group now possesses outlets all over Hong Kong and even mainland cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Members of the Group also included “Congee King”, a quality congee, “Roast.Pot”, a hot pot specialist and “Original Taste Catering Company Limited”
Tai Hing is a fusion of both traditional and modern elements. The Group has retained the essence of traditional delicacy and successfully optimized and upgraded the concept of tea restaurant to a comfortable dining environment where customers can enjoy quality service and local foods such as Chinese roasts and milk tea. Tai Hing serves a large variety of food including but not limited to Chinese roasts, Hong Kong-styled milk tea, Western and Chinese dishes and even Southeast Asian cuisines.
Throughout the years, the Group has been evolved into a diversified business. Much effort has been put in the strategic development of various brand names and other food markets such as canned products, rice dumplings, moon cakes, Chinese sausages and basin dishes (“Poon Choi”)
The Group has a large and effective supporting team. With the spacious (over 40,000 sq. ft.) central production and distribution center in Fo Tan in use since 2008, the Group can both improve support for its branches and open up other food and beverage markets such as school lunchbox catering, organization catering, and providing processed food for other restaurants. Looking ahead, the Tai Hing Catering Group will continue to expand its operation and bring more cuisines and surprises to its customers.
